A true carioca, born and raised in the marvellous city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I can’t dance samba, but I’m definitely up for a soccer match. Got my MA in modern and contemporary philosophy from the state university (UERJ), with emphasis on French philosophy of science. This interdisciplinary approach in my academic studies is also employed in my teaching.

Students are encouraged to look at knowledge without borders and my international teaching experience (Brazil, Egypt and Italy) can help them in this task. I believe this approach gives them a more realistic representation of the world and, as a consequence, their learning experience becomes more meaningful.
